Wing Socks are specialised socks; each style is intended for a specific purpose. The design features we use are
illustrated and explained below. We combine Anti-Blister Protection with selected features and carefully chosen fibre mixes.

The arch brace is a ribbed band knitted around the foot of the sock at the instep.
It provides gentle support and stops the sock from slipping on your foot.
Wing Designs with Arch Brace: Walker, 365, Sport, Winner, Therapeutic, Runner.
Narrow transverse mesh channels on the front of the sock, at the point where the foot articulates,
prevent the material bunching or wrinkling.
Wing Designs with Ankle Flex: Therapeutic, Runner,
Winner, Sport.

The Comfort Welt is a broad double, fine ribbed band at the top of the sock. It hold your sock up
with gentle pressure without constriction.
All Wing Designs, except Foots and Easy, have the Comfort Welt.
Sport socks have additional elastication in the welt, to allow for shin pads. Wing Easy has a weltless soft top.

Graduated compression is the major feature of Wing Multi Flight Socks. The leg of the sock is knitted in very fine rib
providing gentle vascular support, strongest at the ankle and decreasing up the calf. This aids the action of the leg veins
and guards against DVT.
The inclusion of a small proportion of Lycra elastomeric fibre in all the styles of the Wing range
ensures a snug fit for all shapes of feet.
Wing Foots and Wing Runner have half-knit mesh bands on the top of the foot. These allow the action of your foot in your
shoe to pump air in and out, ventilating your foot, and carrying away moisture.
Ribbing around the ankle and the bottom part of the calf supports the ankle and helps the veins in the lower leg to function,
improving blood circulation.
Wing Walker, 365, Sport, Winner, and Multi all have this feature.

The Seamless or 'Lintoe' is created with modern knitting technology by splicing the sides of the toe join. This does away with
bulky sewn seams. There are no lumps to cause discomfort. All Wing degigns have the Lintoe. In the Runner the seam is placed
under the foot, in the toe crevice, as an extra precaution.

We had to turn the sock inside-out for this picture, to show the loopstitch terry padding. This provides extra thermal insulation
and absorbs impact, cushioning your feet.
Wing Walker, 365, and Sport socks all have full foot Terry Padding. Wing Winner court sport socks have padding under the sole and around the toe.

Half-knit mesh channel on either side of the foot allow the action of your foot in its shoe to pump air in and out,
ventilating your foot and carrying away water vapour. The channel can also be seen on the terry padding photo above.
Wing Walker, 365, Therapeutic, and Winner have vent channels.
